If You Have A Permit:

All faculty, staff and students parking a vehicle in UNL-controlled lots are required to register that vehicle with UNL Parking & Transit Services and have a valid University of Nebraska Parking Permit. Permits are not required at meters and time-controlled zones; however, the vehicle must be registered at Parking & Transit Services.

To register your vehicle(s) to a permit, go to https://scsapps.unl.edu/OnlineParkingServices/ and:

1. Log in to the On-line Account using your 8-digit NU ID number.
2. Select the permit that you wish to add vehicles to under "Current Permits".
3. Add the vehicle by selecting "Add New Vehicle" text located below the vehicle list.
4. To remove a vehicle, select the "Delete" text located to the right of the vehicle information. Note: you must have at least one vehicle listed before removing a vehicle from the list.

If You Don't Wish To Purchase A Permit:

If an individual chooses not to purchase a parking permit, they are still required to register any vehicle parked on University of Nebraska-controlled property, including meters and time-controlled zones. To register a vehicle(s) without the purchase of a parking permit, please send us the vehicle information by e-mail to unlpts@unl.edu. Please provide your name, address, a valid NU ID, license plate, make, model, year and color of the vehicle(s) that you bring to campus.

Vehicle Registration Changes

If you change your registration (vehicle, license plates, name, or address), you will need to report these changes directly to UNL Parking & Transit Services within 30 calendar days. This may be accomplished online at https://scsapps.unl.edu/OnlineParkingServices/, by phone (402) 472-1800, fax, or email unlpts@unl.edu.
