Two Ways to Buy:

Either way you must have a valid NU I.D. number, license plate number, make, model and color of the vehicle(s) that you bring to campus.
Payment options: payroll deduction (faculty/staff), Student Accounts Consolidated Bill, VISA, Mastercard, and cash/check (at window only).
Bus/Mass Transit

Bus Pass Info
Both students and faculty/staff will need both the following to use transit services:
- UNL/StarTran Bus Pass
- N-Card
Students are issued a pass paid by student fees.
Faculty/Staff are issued a pass upon request for no charge (for holders of annual, nine month, or semester parking permits) or for the rates listed.

UNL Bus Service
UNL operates two shuttle routes on City Campus:

» 19th-23rd St Route
(6:30am-11:00pm M-F)
UNL also offers Intercampus Night Van service Monday-Thurday evenings after the daytime StarTran service has ended:

StarTran Intercampus
StarTran Route 24 operates between City and East campuses. You may use your bus pass and N-Card to ride any StarTran City Bus route in Lincoln mid-Aug through mid-May.

Where and When Can I Park?

What Lots You Can Use View the Table
On the Permit Use Table if you have the permit listed in the left column you can park in the stated lot type on City Campus and the stated lot type on East Campus. The Time Restrictions column lists the timeframe when only cars with that permit type may park in that type of lot. Outside of the Time Restrictions, all lots are open to all permits (except when posted closed or otherwise noted).
For example, in the table below, if you have an:
- Area A permit, you can park in A lots on City Campus and A lots on East Campus. From 7:30-3:00 M-F, only cars with Area A permits may park in A lots.
- Area F1 permit, you can park in the F1 lot on City Campus and A lots on East Campus. From 7:30-4:00 M-F, only cars with Area F1 permits may park in the F1 lot.
- Area F15 permit, you can park in the F15 lot on East Campus and A lots on City Campus. From 7:30-8:00 M-F, only cars with Area F15 permits may park in the F15 lot.
- Area 14F permit, you can park in the 14 garage on City Campus and A lots on East Campus. From 7:30-4:00 M-F, only cars with Area 14 garage permits may park in the 14th & Avery garage.

Observe signs at lot entrances. Visitor lots are either metered or require registering with the building visited.

All three City Campus garages are available to visitors:

Parking Permits
A Visitor Parking Permit may be purchase at our office, East Union, or Law College.

Meters
Meters in UNL City Campus and East Campus visitor lots are enforced from 7:00am-7:30pm M-F and 7:00am-Noon on Saturday.
Parking meters on city streets, operated by the City of Lincoln, are also available.
Updates
- New Hampshire Perimeter Lot Closing
On December 31, 2009, Parking and Transit Services Department will close the 14th & New Hampshire perimeter parking lot permanently. Perimeter parking is currently available at 1001 Y Street, 16th & Court Streets and beginning January 1, 2010 perimeter parking is available at 14th & Court Street. Beginning on January 4, 2010, the perimeter bus route will provide service to the 14th & Court and 16th & Court Street perimeter parking lots. Map showing the change
- Spring 2010 Student Parking Permits:
Permits for the Spring Semester will be available on-line beginning Monday, December 7th. Permit orders are processed during regular office hours and will be mailed to the local address if ordered Monday, December 7th until 7:00 AM Monday, December 21st. After that time they must be picked up in the office during regular office hours.
Permits may be purchased in the office beginning Monday, December 14th.
Remember quantities are limited. Please order early.
