Bus Pass
Both students and faculty/staff will need both the following to use transit services:Students are issued a pass paid by student fees.
Faculty/Staff are issued a pass upon request for no charge (for holders of annual, nine month, or semester parking permits) or for the rates listed.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln operates three bus routes Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters: the Perimeter Route, which serves the perimeter parking areas to the north of City Campus, and the Intercampus Route #24 and #25, which circulates bidirectional around City Campus and provides service to East Campus.
Transit Tips
- Print a route map and time schedule from our website
- Decide which route you must take and the closest stop to you
- Wait for the bus at a designated UNL bus stop
- Bus does not stop at all stops - Must be waiting at stop - Must let driver know you need off

Perimeter Route
The Perimeter Route operates as a "walk up/on call" van service on the north side of campus with two vans during the day: one van waiting on standby at the 14th & Vine Streets and one van at the 14th & Court Street Perimeter parking lot from 6:30 am until 6:00 PM.
The Perimeter route operates one van during the evening: one van waiting on standby at 14th & Vine Streets until 9:15 PM.
To request Perimeter Van service from the following Perimeter stops: 14th & Avery Garage, Stadium Drive Garage, 10th & New Hampshire, 16th & Court, Business Services Complex, or the 19th & Vine Garage please call (402) 326-8807.
Intercampus Route
The Intercampus Route is two routes that operate bidirectional around City Campus then both routes transport to East Campus.
The Intercampus Route 24 Holdrege operates in a clockwise direction around (East Campus - City Campus) via 27th Street, Vine, 23rd, Q, 18th, R, 13th, Q, Stadium Drive, Salt Creek, 14th, and returning to East Campus via 27th and Holdrege Street.
The Intercampus Route 25 Vine operates in a counterclockwise direction (East Campus - City Campus) via 27th, Vine, 14th , Salt Creek, 9th, P, 12th, R, 18th, P, 23rd, Vine and returning to East Campus via 27th and Holdrege Street.
The Intercampus Routes operate daily service every 10 minutes from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm and operates evening service every 20 minutes from 6:00 pm until 9:00 PM and on call van service between 9:00 PM and 11:30 PM. Please call 402-326-8807 for on call van service.
Summer Service
Beginning the Monday after the May Commencement Parking and Transit Service reduces the Intercampus Route bus service to accommodate the reduction in passenger demand.
During the summer months, May – August, the StarTran Intercampus Route 24 Holdrege operates daily bus service Monday through Friday beginning at 6:50 AM and ending at 6:00 PM. Day time bus service is scheduled to depart each stop in twenty (20) minute intervals beginning at 6:50 A; for example 7:10 AM, 7:30 AM, 7:50 AM etc.
During the summer months, May – August, the StarTran Intercampus Route 25 Vine operates daily bus service Monday through Friday beginning at 7:05 AM and ending at 5:55 PM. Day time bus service is scheduled to depart each stop in twenty (20) minute intervals beginning five minutes after the hour; for example 7:05 AM, 7:25 AM, 7:45 AM, 8:05 AM etc.
