Parking options available to faculty/staff permit holders during university business hours, and during weekday evenings and weekends are presented below. Please note the time restrictions in the Additional Permit Holder Parking Options table carefully to avoid citations.
Please Note: A faculty or staff member works at the University with a faculty/staff appointment on a full time, part-time, temporary, or on-call basis, as long as this employment is the individual's primary purpose on campus. Student employees, including graduate students, are considered students (not employees) when purchasing parking permits. - Red - used on faculty non-reserved lots

City Campus Faculty/Staff Parking Options
- Faculty and staff permits are not authorized to park on campus overnight unless authorized by Parking and Transit Services for official university business or living on campus.

Nebraska Innovation Campus Faculty/Staff Parking Options
Parking at the Nebraska Innovation Campus is operated by Nebraska Nova (a Goldenrod company), and they offer several options for employees working on the campus, visitors to the campus and students traveling between campuses.

Faculty and Staff
Faculty or staff whose primary work assignment is located on the Nebraska Innovation Campus have several parking options to choose from. The NIC Orange and NIC Yellow Reserved parking options are reciprocal with City and East Campus Area A parking lots. The NIC Lot A is not reciprocal on UNL City or East Campus. A perimeter parking option is available through UNL Parking and Transit Services. Nebraska Nova issues the following parking permits, and you must contact your department representative to verify eligibility.

Faculty or staff whose primary work assignment is located on City or East Campus and travel for business to NIC may purchase the following parking options from UNL Parking and Transit Service. All regular UNL parking permits, except for the Perimeter permit, are reciprocal in the NIC Lot A.
Important: To park on the Nebraska Innovation Campus, permit holders must notify Parking and Transit Services and request their permit be added to the reciprocal visitors list. Requests must be made from official UNL email accounts to unlpts@unl.edu
The NIC campus is notified and your license is added to their permit roster. Access remains for the effective period of the UNL permit.

Aside from parking in your assigned permit areas, your permit is also valid in perimeter parking areas (P) and certain parking areas during designated times shown below. This does not apply to permit M holders. Please read the designated times and areas carefully to avoid citations.
