Students

Students, including commuter, resident, and graduate students whose work and academic assignments are primarily located on City or East Campus and travel to NIC for academic purposes may purchase the following permits from UNL Parking and Transit Services.  All regular parking permits, excluding the Perimeter permit are reciprocal in the NIC Lot C.

Important: To park on the Nebraska Innovation campus, permit holders must notify Parking and Transit Services and request their permit be added to the reciprocal visitors list. Requests must be made from official UNL email accounts to unlpts@unl.edu

The NIC campus is notified and your license is added to the permit roster. Access remains for the effective period of the UNL permit.

Note: Area C parking spaces on City Campus are limited, and UNL Area C permits have limited availability. If students wish to ensure that they will be able to purchase an Area C permit it is advisable to purchase the permits as soon as they become available for the next academic year (typically in May) and not wait to purchase permits when the new school year begins.

In addition, if the Area C permits are sold out, but the times students need to park on City Campus will be during non-peak hours, students may call PTS and work with PTS staff to purchase a C Lot permit outside the on-line process. The PTS phone number is 402-472-1800. You will need to provide a class schedule.
