Student Parking Options

Parking options available to student permit holders during university business hours, and during weekday evenings and weekends are presented below. Please read the time restrictions in the Additional Permit Holder Parking Options table carefully to avoid citations.

Please Note: Student employees, including graduate students, are considered students (not employees) when purchasing parking permits. If you are looking for permit costs, please visit the Student Parking Permit Purchasing Guide.

Permit Legends

  • Red - used on faculty non-reserved permits
  • Orange - used on faculty reserved permits
  • Gold - used on garage permits
  • Purple - used on perimeter permits
  • Blue - used on student resident permits
  • Green - used on student commuter permits
  • Yellow - used on student reserved permits

Commuter Students

Commuter students live off campus. Students who live in any on-campus housing options are not eligible to purchase Commuter permits.

Resident Students

Resident students live on campus and in University or Greek Housing options are not eligible to purchase Commuter parking permits. Resident parking permits are assigned based on your housing plan. Additional Permit Holder Parking Options

Aside from parking in your assigned permit areas, your permit is also valid in perimeter parking areas (P) and certain parking areas during designated times below. This does not apply to permit M holders. Please read the designated times and areas carefully to avoid citations.

All commuter parking lots (excludes lots assigned to resident students) are available to permit holders on weekends unless otherwise posted closed or directed by attendant. Excludes game day parking.

Summer

Between spring commencement and mid-August, permits for areas C, R, and E are interchangeable. Garage permits may park in C and R areas.
